I thought this was a very good show and it reflects situations I've gone through ever since middle school. I'm a 20 year old female. I'm not prissy or very feminine at all. I'm not superficial and I would never be mistaken for the cheerleader type. I have good hygiene and like to wear nice, name brand clothes. Although, I do not have any tatoos or piercings, no dyed hair, no fake extensions or fake nails, and I don't wear makeup. I'm very confident and like the natural me. I keep myself clean and shaven and decent but I just don't add anything to myself that I know isn't me. People have always prejudged me and 99% of the time they have been wrong. All throughout school nobody ever took the time to get to know me before they judged me. I really felt like this show was opening up the eyes of others to something I've faced my whole life. Also, I noticed that the issue of race came up a lot and I myself prefer to date interracial. I think that a good topic to bring up would be how your social class comes into relationships. Like in my situation coming from a low income family I see it easier to relate with someone who has gone through some of the same tribulations. Also, looking around I find that people are more likely to date within their social/economic class that may be of a different race as opposed to someone in a higher or lower social class from them but of the same race. Just a though. Thanks!

Hi, After watching this show I have to say I was surprised to see how much judgement was placed on people just based on appearance. As far as the woman labeled marriage material (sorry I didn't catch her name) I thought it was rather closed minded to assume that just because she is over weight, no man would be attracted to her. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and unfortunetly some people only look at the size of a persons body to find their beauty. Did they happen to see her face while judging her? Because I didn't see an ugly person. There are actually some people who look prettier overweight for example, in my opinion, Star Jones (I think) was prettier overweight than she was after she had lost the weight. And as far as people and their tolerance to Christianity it as well baffles me that we have to be respectful if we talk about any other religion but as soon as we talk about Jesus Christ people try to shut you down as if I'm trying to force them to believe my beliefs. People don't care if they offend me with their trashy mouths and every other word being a swear word. I try to be respectful of other people and their beliefs but only if you show me the same respect. As for the "man" with the title of Provider (again didn't catch the name) his ideas of how a woman should be, is so far out there, you have to be willing to accept people for their flaws and understand that we are human and things happen weight will be gained or lost, accidents happend which can cause deformaties and so on and so forth. If we want others to accept us and

Hey Tyra Love watching your show everytime. I found the singlesville show quite interesting. The experiment is how i imagined it would turn out. Everyone has their own tastes and assumptions about everyone else. its just natuaral, it's just a matter of opening up and taking a chance to get to know a person at least before making a decision. I forget her name, but "gold digger" is great, and i wouldnt mind meeting her. im 28 yrs old, tall, blonde hair, blue eyes and athletic. Just throwing it out there lol

Hello Tyra. I have fell victim to certin sterotypes in my time. I happen to know that for people who make rash judgments about other are too concumed in their pathetic lives that they don't want to see that is under the package we call human. If we all got out of our shell and looked around we would see that there are people who are just as fun loving, attractive and good to get to know as the rest of us. If I figured this out at my age then the rest of you can follow suit.

I am a young black man and though i dont declare it openly i catch tyra's show on occasion. Lol its a wonderful show tyra by the way. I thought this episode was interesting in that it was good to see how people really think. Im not sure if the shows producers told the people on the show to be brutally honest but it was very real and interesting. Id like to think everyone uses sense and sensitivity when labeling and interacting with others but its not necessarily always true. Alot of what the people said on the show were from way out in left field and seemed to reflect a fundamentally flawed way of thinking. Knowing the way people label you is a powerful tool, but also realizing the type of label you are trying to put forth for yourself is also just as effective.
